The department offers a four-year B.Tech programme in Electronics & Communication Engineering currently admitting 60 students each year. VAS has applied for an additional intake of 60 students for this programme (approval awaited). It also admits four lateral entry students. It is focused on analog and digital electronics and advanced electronic communication systems. The programme prepares students for prospective careers in some of the worlds most rapidly evolving areas of technologies like VLSI, Embedded systems etc.
