- The 10th anniversary celebration of Vidya International Charitable Trust was held on Friday, August 20, 2010 evening at the Vidya Academy of Science and Technology campus, Thalakkottukara.
- An extensive orientation programme covering all areas of campus life was conducted for the first year students on 12/08/2010 and 13/08/2010.
- Two advocates from Kerala State Legal Services Authority (KSLSA), namely Adv. Jose Peter and Adv. Eldoh had conducted Legal literacy classes for the second year students on 13/08/2010.
- Vidya Academy of Science & Technology was awarded ICT enabled Engineering College of the year by eINDIA 2010.
- ISTE Kerala Section conducted a training programme on “TEACHING EXCELLENCE AND METHODOLOGIES” for teachers in Engineering Colleges in the State from 02 to 07 Aug 2010 at Vidya Academy of Science and Technology,
- Students of S4 MCA class was given a training in IBM DB2 during 05 - 07 August 2010.
- The Department of CSE, and the Department of MCA have organized a two day faculty enablement workshop in J2EE Technologies on July 29 & 30, 2010
- IEEE student branch of VAST received a grant of Rs. 75,000/- for developing Web based Electrical Machines laboratory from IEEE.
- A workshop “EXPLORE YOUR POTENTIAL” was conducted on 27/07/2010 Tuesday for all second year students in the main seminar hall. The workshop was delivered by corporate trainer Sri. Sajee Yousaf Nissan.
- Sixth semester Mini project evaluation was carried out. 5 projects were carried out in collaboration with Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, Oldenburg University, Germany and Kerala Agriculture University
- A group of final year Production Engg Students has invented Binderless MDF boards as a part of their academic project..
- Few students of Vidya received Sri. K.P. Aravindakshan Memorial Educational award instituted by Choondal Panchayath for their performance in Academics and non academic performance.
- Dr. M N Agnisarman Namboodiri participated in the evaluation of lab programs & experiments for "CSE Virtual Labs" (developed under National Virtual Lab project) at IIITH
- EPSCICON Lecture Series: The third lecture in the EPSCICON Lecture Series was delivered by Dr. K B M Nambudiripad, Visiting Professor, ME Department on “ Stability” at EEE seminar hall on 16/07/2010 12:45 pm..
- Eight semester students Subin C.S, Abhilash P.P, Anil Thomas and Soorej C.S invented "Pollution - Cutting, Fuel-Saving Device for Motor Vehicles".
- Dr. M N Agnisarman Namboodiri participated in the evaluation of lab programs & experiments for "CSE Virtual Labs" (developed under National Virtual Lab project) at IIITH (Indian Institute of Information Technology Hyderabad) on July 6, 2010.
- College National Service Scheme units & Rotaract Club organized a blood donation and group identification camp for the students and staff on 8th July 2010
- EEE Department organized the second lecture of the ‘EPSCICON Lecture Series’ on 29/06/2010
- e-SPIDERZ : Web Page Designing Contest” was organized by the Department of Computer applications during the academic year 2009 -20 10

- A farewell was arranged for the final year students (2006-10 Batch) of our college at 2.00 pm at the main conference hall on 24.06.2010.
