  • An appreciation meeting was arranged at 12.30 pm on 27.10.2011 pm in the college auditorium for congratulating 50 students who got placement in TCS CRD.
  • The Dept of EEE in association with dept of ME, IEEE student branch, IE Electrical Engg Student Chapter organized a two day workshop on “Solar Wind Hybrid System” and “Hybrid Cars” on 29 and 30 October 2011.
  • Computer Society of India (CSI)‐VAST student chapter in association with Institution of Engineers (IE) organized a two day workshop on “Text processing using LaTeX software” during 28‐31 October 2011.

1. Appreciation Meeting

An appreciation meeting was arranged at 12.30 pm on 27.10.2011 pm in the college auditorium for congratulating 50 students who got placement in TCS CRD held on 24th and 25th Oct 2011 in the college. Er. G. Mohanachandran (Executive Director, VICT), Dr.S.P. Subramanian (Principal, VAST), Mr. Paul Chakola (Training & Placement Director, VAST) spoke on the occasion. All staff and students attended the meeting.

2. Green Add+ Workshop
The Dept of EEE in association with dept of ME, IEEE student branch, IE Electrical Engg Student Chapter organized a two day workshop on “Solar Wind Hybrid System” and “Hybrid Cars” on 29 and 30 October 2011 at Main Seminar Hall. The sessions were led by Mr. Harsh Raj Madan and team from Green Add+, Mumbai. 125 students participated.
3. Workshop on "LateX"
Computer Society of India (CSI)‐VAST student chapter in association with Institution of Engineers (IE) organized a two day workshop on “Text processing using LaTeX software” during 28‐31 October 2011 at Vidya Academy of Science and Technology. Dr. V.N. Krishnachandran (Prof and Head, Dept of Computer Application) handled the session.
4. Technical Session on “Fundamentals of C"
A workshop on “Fundamentals of C programming” for the non teaching and lab staff was arranged on 28 October 2011 in Programming Lab. Ms. Shakthi Krishna T.S (TI, Dept of CSE) handled the session.

1. Calicut University D Zone Volleyball Tournament

College Volleyball team participated in the Calicut University D Zone Volleyball Tournament held at Christ College, Irinjalakuda during 27‐28 October 2011. The team secured second position and qualified to participate in the Calicut University Inter Collegiate Volleyball tournament to be held at SS College Arekode during 02nd – 04th November 2011.

2. Thrissur District Table Tennis Tournament
The college Table Tennis team participated in the Thrissur District Table Tennis Tournament and Mr. Freddy Thomas (S3 EEE) selected to represent Thrissur district team in the Inter district championship.
