National Service Scheme
Two units of NSS cell (Technical) are working in our college. The NSS unit provides opportunities to the staff and students to gain practical experience through community services. This unit also helps them to enhance their leadership and organising skills. The students who get 240 hours experience including one special camp programme will be eligible for NSS certificate and grace marks.
Mr. K.V Ramesh & Mrs. Divya Mohanan are the Programme coordinators of the units 101 & 200 respectively.
- Present Activities:
National Service Scheme units and Rotaract club jointly organized a debate on “Indian Technology after Independence “.Participants from all the branches took part and expressed their views on the topic. Prof. V.A.Sudakaran, HoD, Dept. of. Civil Engineering as the moderator and Prof. M.P. Krishnakumari, Dept.of Humanities and Mr.Paul Chakola , Placement Head, were the judges for the event. Department of Mechanical Engineering, Department of Production Engineering and Department of Civil engineering bagged away the first, Second and third prize respectively.
Ramesh C.R of ECE S8 was selected as Best student Volunteer for the year 2008 by the Directorate of Technical Education.
