  The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) provides an unrivalled education in Electronics and Communication engineering and Embedded System (ES) to our graduate and post graduate students. Department started Under Graduate program with an intake of 60 in the year 2003. The Post Graduation Programme was started with an intake of 10 in the year 2013. Presently, Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering offers four-year B.Tech programme in ECE with an intake of 120 students and two-year M.Tech programme in ES with 24 students. It also admits twelve lateral entry students of diploma holders to the third semester in B.Tech ECE.

To mould professionals who can emerge as leaders in society through use of modern tools, cognitive learning and critical thinking. 
Programme Outcomes (POs) - ECE Dept.
PO1: Engineering Knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineeringproblems and modeling.
PO2: Problem Analysis: Formulate, review literature and analyze complex engineering problems and arrived at substantiated logical conclusion using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences and engineering sciences.
PO3: Design / Development of Solutions: Design a system, component or process to meet the desired specifications, performance and capabilities of an industry; also compatible with health, safety, legal, societal and environmental conditions
PO4: Conduct investigations of complex problems: Use research based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments in analyzing, interpreting and synthesizing data for a valid conclusion.
PO5: Modern Tool Usage: Understand the need and acquire knowledge technically to use modern engineering tools that are necessary to validate the electronics and communication engineering concepts.
PO6: The Engineer and Society: Understand the responsibility they owe to protect the public health, safety and welfare of the society by virtue of their professional status as an engineer.
PO7: Environment and Sustainability: Appropriate interpretation of engineering solutions in global, societal and environmental contexts and demonstrate the knowledge for a sustainable development.
PO8: Ethics: Ability to understand and practice professional ethics towards management goals and nation building.
PO9: Individual and Team work: Work as a team player and strive for self-excellence.
PO10: Communication: Effective oral and written communication skills, such as being able to comprehend, write effective reports and design documentation, make effective presentations and, give and receive clear instructions.
PO11: Project management and Finance: Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the engineering finance and management principles as a member and leader in a team to manage projects economically in multi-disciplinary environments.
PO12: Life-long Learning: Seek for higher education and to engage in life-long learning by adapting to rapidly changing technologies of Electronics engineering and associated areas.
