Program Educational Objectives of the UG Electrical and Electronics Engineering(EEE) are:

PEO 1: Our graduates will have a solid foundation in mathematics, engineering sciences and Electrical & Electronics Engineering with a broad engineering core competence to formulate, analyze, and solve real life circuits, systems and installation problems.

PEO 2: Our graduates will be able to generate a curiosity for learning in breadth and depth by undertaking higher education and research.

PEO 3: Our graduates will have ability for multi-discipline teamwork, effective communication, self confidence, a high degree of personal integrity, and the belief that they can each make a difference in the society.


Program Outcomes:

Students graduating from the Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department of Vidya Academy of Science and Technology, Thrissur are expected and prepared to exercise the skills and abilities (a) through (l) listed in the Program Outcomes below.

a. Ability to identify electrical engineering problems and apply scientific and engineering knowledge to their solution.

b. Knowledge of mathematics through differential and integral calculus, basic sciences, computer science and engineering sciences, necessary to analyze and design complex electrical and electronic devices and systems containing both hardware and software components, as appropriate to electrical engineering.

c. Ability to conduct experiments with electrical and electronic systems, analyze and interpret data and use the data obtained for design and development of solutions for various electrical engineering problems.

d. Ability to design and develop complex electrical networks and circuits to meet the needs of society.

e. Ability to use the techniques, skills, and modern engineering tools necessary for engineering practice.

f. Understanding of impact of engineering solutions on the society and also will be aware of contemporary issues.

g. Ability to design a system, component, or process to meet desired needs within realistic constraints such as economic, environmental, sustainability etc.

h. Understanding of their ethical responsibilities to the engineering profession and the community at large.

i. Ability to function on multi-disciplinary teams.

j. Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written form.

k. Ability to develop confidence for self-education and ability for life-long learning and also acquire the capability to participate and succeed in competitive examinations like GATE, GRE, IES etc.

l. Understanding of broad education necessary for engineering solutions in a global, social, economical and environmental context.
