Services

  • Borrowing & Circulation:

Final and pre final year students can borrow 4 books, 2 CD-ROMs, 2 Journals for two weeks. First and Second year students can borrow 3 books ,2 CD-ROMs and 2 Journals.

  • Reference:

Reference section remains open from 9 a.m – 7.00 p.m . Library has a collection of 5417 titles, 76 national & international journals, more than 1000 CD-ROMs. A separate collection of around 400 journal back volumes are kept in reference section.

  • Rental Book Scheme:

In this scheme UG / PG students are given text books for a semester on rental basis. A student can borrow maximum 3 books. Books will be issued for a whole semester on paying a non refundable deposit of 25% of cost of the book.

  • Internet Facility:

Library provides internet facility to all students of this institution. Students are advised to make use of this facility only for their academic support.

  • E – Journals (Online Electronic Journals):

The college library is subscribing to the online journals of IEEE and ASME through INDEST – AICTE consortium.
Staff / Students are recommended to make the maximum use of this facility. Use the link http://www.ieee.org/ieeeexplore for accessing online journals of IEEE and http://scitation.aip.org/publications for accessing online journals of ASME.

  • Digital Library:

As part of setting up an excellent collection in digital library, library maintains question papers of the previous years and curriculum of all branches in DSPACE. DSPACE is an institutional repository - built to save, share, and search various study materials prepared by faculties of VAST.

  • NPTEL (National Program on Technology Enhanced Learning):

Library subscribes NPTEL which is a joint initiative by all IITs and IISc containing web and video course contents for more than 230 engineering courses in 5 disciplines.
