EEE faculty patent Hybrid Solar-Wind Energy Device
The faculty members of Vidya Academy of Science & Technology (VAST), Thrissur, have reinforced the institution's commitment to innovation, renewable energy research and sustainable technological development through their patented hybrid energy generation device.
The faculty members of Vidya have added another feather to the institution's cap by securing a Design Patent from the Patent Office, Government of India, for their innovative design titled "Hybrid Solar-Wind Turbine Energy Generation Device."
The design, registered under Design No. 494891-001,recognizes the novelty and originality of an innovative renewable energy system that integrates solar and wind energy technologies into a single device for efficient and sustainable power generation. The registration has been granted under the provisions of the Designs Act, 2000 and the Designs Rules, 2001.
The inventors who contributed to this remarkable accomplishment are Dr. Neenu Thomas (Asst Prof - Seln Grade,EEE Dept),Ms. Anooja V.S.(Asst Prof - Sr Grade, EEE Dept),Mr. Krishnakumar M (Asst Prof - Sr Grade, EEE Dept) and Ms. Lasitha Mohandas (Asst Prof ,EEE Dept).
The Hybrid Solar-Wind Turbine Energy Generation Device represents an innovative approach to clean energy by harnessing both solar and wind resources within a single integrated system, enhancing energy efficiency and supporting sustainable power generation.
