The Department of Civil Engineering recognizes the importance of cooperative and a collaborative working relationship between industries
Vidya Academy of Science and Technology (VAST) and TANGENT, the parent company of reputed CISAT signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 14 February 2025 . The MoU establishes a collaborative framework aimed at enhancing software training and skill development.CISAT (Cadpoint Institute of Science & Technology),an authorized CADD training center,Thrissur renowned for its expertise in architectural aesthetics, design principles, and modern construction trends, has entered into a strategic partnership with the Department of Civil Engineering, VAST Thrissur.

Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between EEE Dept and Jo and Jo Infra Solutions, Thrissur

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) offers industry exposure, training, and internship opportunities to students with Knowledge exchange in the field of electrical and infrastructure solutions.
Jo and Jo Infra Solutions,Chungam,Asvary Nagar, Ayyanthole, Thrissur, and Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) of Vidya Academy of Science & Technology signed an MoU on 21 February 2025. The MoU, signed outlines a collaborative effort aimed at providing valuable opportunities for students enrolled in the B.Tech EEE program. The MoU was signed between Mr. Joyal Joy (Managing Director, Jo and Jo Infra Solutions) and Dr Sunitha C (Principal). Dr Mary P Varghese (HoD, EEE Dept) led this initiative.

Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between ME Dept and Hawking Technologies

The Department of Mechanical Engineering fosters knowledge exchange and skill development through strategic partnerships with various establishments to enhance academic, research, and industry engagement. The latest addition to this initiative is the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Hawking Technologies. This collaboration will offer ME students with valuable opportunities, including internships, project knowledge support, and placement-related activities.
The MoU was signed by Dr Sunitha C (Principal) and Mr Jinto A J (CEO & Designated Partner, Hawking Technologies India) on 18 February 2025 in the presence of Dr. Rakesh Hari (Professor & HoD, ME Dept), Dr Sooraj K Prabha (Professor, ME Dept) and Mr Shankar R (Asst Prof ME Dept). Mr. Renjish Vijay (Asst Prof, ME Dept) co-ordinated this initiative under the guidance of Dr. Rakesh Hari (HoD, ME Dept)

Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between CA Dept (MCA) and Linkway Software Solutions, Malappuram.

The MCA Dept of at Vidya Academy of Science and Technology has signed yet another Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Linkway Software Solutions, a professionally managed company with its Corporate Office in Oman and Kerala, India.
Linkway Software Solutions is an Information Technology Company that provides IT services to clients globally since 2010. It provides end-to-end business solutions that leverage technology. The highly experienced team of engineers, an advanced research and development facility.

Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the MCA Department and ZiukeInfotech Pvt Ltd, Thrissur.

In a significant stride towards enhancing the educational experience and employability of its students, the MCA Department at Vidya Academy of Science and Technology has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ZiukeInfotech Pvt Ltd, a renowned technology firm based in Thrissur.
The MoU, signed on 21 March 2024 outlines a collaborative effort aimed at providing valuable opportunities for students enrolled in the MCA programme. It was signed by Dr Reji C Joy (HoD, Computer Applications Dept) and Ms Shwetha P S (CEO, ZiukeInfotech) in the presence of Ms Siji K B (Asst Prof, CA Dept) and Mr Manesh D (Asst Prof, CA Dept).

Vidya signs MoU with Cherpu Block Panchayath

Vidya realizes provision of appropriate assistance and assistive devices is one of the first steps in the process of rehabilitation of Persons with Disabilities.
Cherpu Block Panchayath signed the MoU between Cherpu Block Panchayath and two Departments of Vidya on 05 February 2024.Department of Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning and Electrical & Electronics Engineering are two Departments involved in the MoU signing.
The opportunity came to Vidya under the leadership of Dr. Sudha Balagopalan (Dean Academics ). Cherpu block Panchayath aims to make it a friendly Block Panchayath for differently abled people. As part of the project the Panchayath wishes to ensure the active involvement of differently abled people in various sectors of public places. The Panchayath had conducted an elaborate survey to collect the details of differently able people.

Vidya Signed MoU with NISH

Conceived by Kerala Development and Innovation Strategic Council (K-DISC) and implemented by National Institute of Speech and Hearing (NISH), Kerala Technological University (KTU), is a noble and unique project named “Innovation by Youth with Disabilities (I-YwD)” of the Government of Kerala which provides hands-on training in innovation and entrepreneurship to the passionate youth with disabilities of Kerala.
Kerala Technological University (KTU) in association with I-YwD and NISH is facilitating the initiatives for KTU affiliated colleges, including – AAC (Augmentative Assistive Communication Device) project, Disability related awareness sessions, Job fair for Differently abled, association with Innovation with Youth with Disabilities ( IYwD) a project funded by K-DISC implemented by NISH, internships for students etc.

Proud moment to Vidya: VTC signed MoU with Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute of Medical Sciences

Vidya Talent Center (VTC) is an initiative of VICT that acts as a bridge between academia and Industry. VTC foster research and entrepreneurial exploration that transform innovative ideas from concept to reality and help the campus remain relevant in both academia and the marketplace.
Vidya Talent Center signed an MoU with TIMed; (Technology Incubation for Medical devices and Biomaterials) Biomedical technology wing, Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute of Medical Sciences, Thiruvananthapuram on 20 June 2022, at TIMed headquarters, Trivandrum. Mr Balram S (Chief Executive Officer, TIMed) and Mr Sureshlal (Executive Director, VICT) signed the MoU in the presence of Dr Kala Bharathan (Asso Prof, ECE Dept & Head, VTC). As per the MoU, TIMed will conduct seminars, workshops and training programmes for the students and faculty members of VAST regarding the Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) filing, patenting procedures, and start-up incubation from time to time. TIMed will also offer guidance on the valuation of IPR, commercialization of the product and overall facilitation of linkages between academia and industry.

Vidya signs two more MoUs for add-on courses

In order to equip students with the skills required for developing a successful career in a fast changing world, it is imperative that they should be taught skill sets in addition to those provided in the rigid curriculum. With this in mind, Vidya has been meticulously planning and conducting a set of add on courses for all students for the last several years. The courses are discipline specific and are graded based on the academic progress of students.
In the last week, Vidya signed MoUs with two more leading training institutes to arrange add-on courses to students in the S4 B Tech batches. Earlier Vidya had signed MoU’s with three training institutes

MoU of Vidya–Bosch Joint Certification Program renewed

The Memorandum of Understanding between Vidya and Bosch Ltd has been renewed as per the agreement signed on 31 July 2021. The Bosch Training Division Manager Mr Samiran Das and Senior Officer Mr Kiran G Nair represented Bosch Ltd. The Vidya–Bosch Joint Certification Program is valid for two years. During the previous tenure, under this program, Vidya organized twelve training sessions for the students of the College and also for outside candidates.

Vidya Talent Center and Adaptech Machines & Solutions sign MoU

Vidya Talent Center (VTC) and Adaptech Machines & Solutions Pvt Ltd. signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 9 July 2021.
Adaptech Machines & Solutions is a private company incorporated on October 2013. It is classified as non-Government company and is registered at Registrar of Companies, Bangalore. It is involved in the design and manufacture of customized machinery and special purpose machine components. This collaboration between VTC and Adaptech would help Vidya to bridge the industry-institution gap and equip the students with the latest trends in the machine manufacturing industry through projects and internships.

MCA Dept signs MoU with Ansar Women’s College, Perumpilavu

The MCA Dept of Vidya and the Post-Graduate Dept of Computer Science, Ansar Women’s College, Perumpilavu, signed a Memorandum of Understanding to give a formal framework for cooperation in educational activities.Ms Reji C Joy representing the MCA Dept of Vidya and Ms Prapitha representing Ansar Women’s College signed the MoU and copies of the signed document were exchanged in the presence of Dr Saji C B, Principal.

Vidya Talent Center signs MoU with Antrica Solutions

Vidya Talent Center (VTC) and Antrica Solutions Pvt Ltd. signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 29March 2021. Er G Mohanachandran, Director, VTC, signed the document on behalf of the Vidya Talent Center and handed over to Mr Gireeshkumar, Managing Director, Antrica Solutions, Kozhikode in the presence of Dr Saji C B, Principal. Dr Kala Bharathan (VTC Head), Heads of various Departments, VTC Coordinators and staff of Construction and Engineering Wing of Vidya were present to witness this auspicious moment .

Vidya signs MoU with National Highway Authority of India (NHAI)

Vidya and National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 8 August 2020 in the Principal’s chamber. Dr Saji C B, Principal, signed the document on behalf of the College and handed over to Mr Arjun Benoi, Site Engineer, NHAI PIU, Palakkad in the presence of Dr C Justine Jose (Prof and Head, CE Dept).

Vidya signs MoU with NeST Cyber Campus

Vidya and NeST Cyber Campus (Aluva, Ernakulam-683 101, a division of NeST Institute of Fiber Optic Technology Pvt Ltd) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 20 February 2020 to run an add-on course on “Android Mobile App development” under Centre for Continuing Education (CCE) of Vidya. The course, targeted at students of S4 B Tech (CSE) students, includes 30 hours of theory and software classes.
About a month back, Vidya had signed MoU’s with two other firms, Core Institute of Technology and Liwet Labs, for running add-on courses for other batches of students. For more details, read the report on the MoU signing ceremony HERE.

Vidya and GWPC Nedupuzha enter into MoU

After a long collaboration of four consecutive years, Govt Women’s Polytechnic College (GWPC), Nedupuzha, Thrissur, a premier Govt. polytechnic college in Kerala, and Vidya Academy of Science and Technology, Thrissur signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 15 November 2019. The MoU joins the hands of both institutions for collaborative work involving knowledge sharing, technology transfer and research activities. On behalf of the Principal of Vidya, Mr Ramesh C R (AP, ECE Dept) and Mr Rakesh V S (AP, ECE Dept) received the copy of MoU from Dr Chandrakantha E S, Principal, GWPC in the presence of Mr Arun E, Head of Electronics Engineering Dept of GWPC.

Vidya renews MoU with ICT Academy of Kerala

The existing Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Vidya and the Information and Communication Technology Academy of Kerala (ICTA-K) was renewed for a further period of one year at a simple function held at the Principal’s Chamber on 28 February 2019. Under the agreement, ICTAK shall provide faculty and student training, facilitate for online technical talks, student development programs using Paatshala, industry-institute interaction at regional level, student assessments, etc.

Vidya renews MoU with ICT Academy of Kerala

Vidya Academy of Science and Technology renewed the MoU with ICT Academy of Kerala for the year November 2017 to October 2018. The renewal MoU was signed on 14.12.2017 by Dr. Sudha Balgopalan, Principal, and Mr. Prasanth K N representing ICT Academy of Kerala.
ICT Academy of Kerala is a Social Enterprise created in a Public Private Partnership model (PPP) for imparting ICT skills to the youths of Kerala and improve their employability opportunities in the Industry. The Company is supported by Govt. of India , partnered by Govt. of Kerala and the ICT industry.
