The Training & Placement Department at Vidya Academy of Science and Technology organized a talk about GATE examination (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) for the B. Tech (2025 graduating batch) students on 30 January 2024.

Dr. Suresh Raghavan (CEO & Executive Director, Manifold Institute of Technical Education, Thrissur) was the resource person for the talk. He talked about the whole gamut of GATE and explained how to approach and prepare for this important examination. Dr. Suresh also talked about the placement opportunities through GATE. As of date, close to 47 public sector companies are recruiting engineers on the basis of GATE scores. He advised the students to have a clear goal and to work regularly to ensure a good score in GATE.

Dr Suresh along with Mr Deepak answered queries from students pertaining to the general topics in focus, about the aptitude section, duration of the test, cut-off, grading, etc.
