Vidya CSE students engage on the numerous responsibilities that help them to nurture as developers and empower these students to impact their communities with technology. Google Developer Student Clubs (GDSC) is one among the community group for college and university students interested in Google developer technologies.
Gayathri Satheeshkumar (Lead of GDSC VAST, S8 CSE Dept) attended the Leads Summit and Graduation event of Google Developers Students Club, India on 17, 18 June 2023 . The event, held at Hilton Garden Inn in Manyata, Bangalore, brought together accomplished professionals to discuss and celebrate the concept of Sustainable Technology. Throughout the two-day event, several engaging sessions and activities took place, leaving a lasting impact on the attendees.
On the first day, the event started with an inspiring keynote address by Nikita Gandhi and Tanvi Somani, Community Managers at Google Developers. The leads were appreciated for their outstanding contributions. Karthik Padmanabhan, Developer Relations Lead, shared valuable insights on India’s growth as a deep tech hub and its connection to climate change and sustainable technology. Resume building and interview preparation were discussed in detail by Rahul Narang, Lead Talent Engagement, India. An enlightening panel discussion on building responsibility with technology took place, featuring Saurabh Rajpal, Amar Prusty, Parijat Sardesai, and Navaneeth Raghu.
The first day concluded with a fun-filled team-building activity, an intriguing mentalism show, a Gala Dinner, and valuable networking opportunities among the leads.On the second day, there were multiple sessions that provided valuable insights. One of these sessions focused on Android, highlighting roadmaps and market opportunities in the field. Another session delved into the significance of perseverance and the impact of communities such as GDG (Google Developer Groups) and WTM (Women Techmakers).
In recognition of the core team’s crucial support in running and managing the club independently, a certificate of appreciation was presented to them. Additionally, the core team of GDSC VAST will receive a token of thanks as a gesture of gratitude for their outstanding efforts.
The GDSC VAST 2023 chapter concluded successfully, marking the completion of this year’s activities. The upcoming year’s leads will be announced through an email from Google Developers – India to the eligible candidates who underwent the interview process. With great anticipation, the club looks forward to resuming its activities for the 2023-24 term, guided by the motto “Rise Above, Go Beyond.”
