- M.Tech. in Ocean Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras, 1986.
- B.Sc. (Engineering) in Civil Engineering, Government Engineering College, Thrissur, 1983.

- Over 30 years of teaching, research, and consultancy experience in Structural Engineering, Ocean Engineering, and Ship Technology.
- Former Professor and Head, Department of Ship Technology, Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT).
- Former Ad-hoc Professor, Department of Civil Engineering, National Institute of Technology (NIT) Calicut.
- Expertise in curriculum development, postgraduate teaching, research supervision, consultancy, and industry collaboration.
- Guided 13 Ph.D. scholars and 80 M.Tech. dissertations, with extensive contributions to funded research projects and academic administration.

PERSONAL
- Served as Professor and Head, Department of Ship Technology, Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT).
- Instrumental in establishing the M.Tech. Programme in Computer Aided Structural Analysis and Design and developing its curriculum and syllabus for over 20 batches.
- Successfully elevated the Department of Ship Technology as a recognized research department and led several DRDO-sponsored research projects.
- Established the Computational Hydrodynamics and Structural Engineering (CHASE) Laboratory with a funding of ?50 lakhs under the State Plan Grant.
- Founded the Ship Technology Industrial Consultancy (STICON) under CITTIC, CUSAT, promoting industry–academia collaboration.
- Guided 13 Ph.D. scholars and 80 M.Tech. dissertations, contributing significantly to postgraduate research.
- Published 43 journal papers, 43 international conference papers, and 30 national conference papers, including 22 Scopus-indexed publications.
- Served as a Member of the Research Board, Indian Maritime University, and Chairman of the Doctoral Committee, Government Engineering College, Thrissur (KTU).
- Contributed as a member of various expert committees for curriculum development, academic governance, and engineering education.
- Promoted sustainability initiatives through the Campus Greening Campaign, including tree plantation, landscaping, and water resource development.
